Privacy Policy

Peakline collects no personal data. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Routes and videos are processed on your device.
Peakline is a 3D map of Hong Kong for iPhone and Android, made by an independent developer in Hong Kong ("we"). This policy explains what the app and this website do with information.
Your location
If you allow it, Peakline uses your location to show where you are on the map and to move the map there. It is used on your device only, while you use the app. It is not stored, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else. Peakline asks for it when you tap the location button, or when you tap Allow on its welcome screen, and you can turn it off in your device’s location-permission settings.
Routes and GPX files
Routes you add, the GPX files you open with Peakline, and the checkpoints you add to them are kept in the app on your device. You choose whether to share or export them. App data may also be included in system backups or device transfers you enable; those are handled by Apple or Google under your device’s backup settings.
Photos
On iPhone, saving a video to Photos asks for add-only photo-library permission. On Android, Peakline saves the videos it creates through the system media library. It does not request access to read your existing photo library.
Videos you make
Videos made during the free trial carry a visible Peakline watermark. Every video carries an invisible mark that records the date it was made and a random number, and ends with credits for the map's data. Neither contains any information about you or your device.
Asking for a rating
To choose when to ask you to rate Peakline in your platform’s store, the app counts on your device the days you have used it and the videos you have shared or saved. These counts are not sent to us; they may be included in system backups you enable. The rating itself is handled by Apple through the App Store, or Google through Google Play.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store on iPhone, or by Google through Google Play on Android. We do not receive your store-account identity or payment details.
- The app reads your purchases from the platform’s store, on your device, to unlock it.
- Each purchase carries a random identifier made on your device. It is not linked to your identity, and it lets purchases be recognised if accounts are ever added to Peakline.
- How many free trial videos you have made is kept in the iPhone’s Keychain or Android app preferences. Android preferences may be included in system backups you enable.
Map downloads
Detailed maps and optional traffic data are hosted and delivered by Apple's Background Assets service or Google Play Asset Delivery. The platform provider’s privacy policy applies to those downloads; they are not sent through a developer-operated server.
What we receive
Peakline runs no servers of its own and sends nothing to us. Purchases, ratings and map downloads use the platform’s store services, which are subject to Apple’s or Google’s privacy policies.
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in iPhone settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and app usage statistics, under Apple's privacy policy. You can change this in iPhone analytics settings. Google Play may similarly provide crash and technical-quality reports under Google’s policies; Peakline includes no developer analytics SDK.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. It remembers the language you choose in your browser's storage, on your device only. It is hosted by GitHub Pages; GitHub may record visitors' IP addresses for security, under the GitHub General Privacy Statement. If you contact support through GitHub, what you write is public on GitHub and handled under GitHub's terms.
Children
Peakline does not collect personal data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its date.

Peakline 是一個供 iPhone 及 Android 使用的香港 3D 地圖，由一位香港獨立開發者（「我們」）開發。本政策說明 App 及本網站如何處理資料。
你的位置
如你允許，Peakline 會使用你的位置，在地圖上顯示你身處何處，並將地圖移到該處。位置只會在你使用 App 時、在你的裝置上使用，不會被儲存，亦不會傳送給我們或任何人。Peakline 只會在你按下定位按鈕，或在歡迎畫面按「允許」時，才要求權限；你可隨時在裝置的定位權限設定中關閉。
路線及 GPX 檔案
你加入的路線、用 Peakline 開啟的 GPX 檔案，以及你加入的檢查站，都儲存在你的裝置上的 App 內。由你決定是否分享或匯出。你啟用的系統備份或裝置轉移亦可能包含 App 資料，並按裝置的備份設定由 Apple 或 Google 處理。
相片
在 iPhone，儲存影片到「相片」時會要求僅可新增的權限。Android 會透過系統媒體庫儲存 App 製作的影片。App 不會要求讀取你現有相片圖庫的權限。
你製作的影片
免費試用期間製作的影片會帶有可見的 Peakline 水印。每段影片都帶有一個隱形標記，記錄影片的製作日期及一個隨機數字，並在結尾列出地圖資料來源。兩者都不包含任何關於你或你裝置的資料。
邀請評分
為了決定何時邀請你在所用平台的商店為 Peakline 評分，App 會在你的裝置上記錄你使用 App 的日數，以及你分享或儲存影片的次數。這些數字不會傳送給我們，但可能包含在你啟用的系統備份中。評分本身經由 Apple 的 App Store 或 Google Play 進行。
購買
iPhone 的購買由 Apple 透過 App Store 處理；Android 的購買由 Google 透過 Google Play 處理。我們不會收到你的商店帳戶身分或付款資料。
- App 會在你的裝置上向所用平台的商店讀取你已購買的項目，以便解鎖。
- 每次購買會附上一個在你的裝置上產生的隨機識別碼。它與你的身分無關，用途是日後 Peakline 如加入帳戶功能時，可以辨認已有的購買。
- 你已使用的免費試用影片數目，儲存在 iPhone 的「鑰匙圈」或 Android App 偏好設定內。你啟用的系統備份可能包含 Android 偏好設定。
地圖下載
詳細地圖及可選車流資料由 Apple 的 Background Assets 或 Google Play Asset Delivery 託管及傳送，下載受平台供應商的私隱政策規管，不會經過開發者營運的伺服器。
我們會收到甚麼
Peakline 沒有自己的伺服器，亦不會傳送任何資料給我們。購買、評分及地圖下載使用所用平台的商店服務，受 Apple 或 Google 的私隱政策規管。
如你在 iPhone 設定中選擇與 App 開發者分享分析資料，Apple 或會按其私隱政策，向我們提供匿名的當機報告及 App 使用統計。你可在 iPhone 的分析設定中更改。Google Play 亦可能按 Google 的政策提供當機及技術品質報告；Peakline 並無加入開發者分析 SDK。
本網站
